The Vatican, or The Holy Church, is a international religious organization founded on the belief of Christianity. On the surface The Holy Church goes about it's normal everyday events preaching about the word of God, however, there are things that “should not belong” within this world that “should be exterminated”. The Vatican's dealings with the supernatural are one's often not so pretty choosing to purge the world of abominations to God not limited to monsters or demons but magic seeing it as messing with “the world God created” and it's power not fit for human hands.
[/i] - Templar Knights
Order of the Thirteenth Apostle - The regrets of Iscariot, An organization not directly tied to the Vatican but works as a top-secret section of its operations, and officially, it does not exist. Named after Judas Iscariot, the apostle who betrayed Jesus, but even though they are monster hunters they consider themselves sinners for their violent ways. Thus their nickname "
The Sinners of God" given to them by others and while not all enjoy this nickname they full accept it as they choose to toss their mercy at the hands of God. Their primary mission is the "eradication of monsters" often sent only when "things must be taken care of" and used as as a last resort. They are said to have the "strongest of holy relics" such as Spear of Longinus, the nails that held Jesus to the cross, Pnakotic Manuscripts, and more
It is said that Judas went and hanged himself after the betrayl of his Lord in effort to attone his grave sin. The members of this order seek to attone their sin through protection of the world and the church in their own way: Violent Exorcism.
Order of the Risen Disciple - The keys of Peter, a very old sector of the Church that is considered more prestigous and in some ways more powerful than the Iscariot order as they identify with holy prayer. They are masters of the art of faith and ascending into their ranks is considered the most difficult of all as they make up a row of three chairs that stands directly under the Church leader in terms of authority and power. It is said that they are mortals that cannot be killed by normal means a true counter to the immortals of the supernatural realm. Their primary mission is the construction of prayers for the use of the Church at large.
The apostle Peter is said to have faced crucifiction as his method of death and begged to have his cross turned upside down out of respect for his Lord as he did not feel worthy of dying the same death. Members of this order have rejected death as they do not feel worthy of passing on while they yet have work upon this earth.
Order of the Zealot - The voice of Zealotry, a section of the church that deals with praise to the Lord and specializes in defense. These are rare members of the church that devote themselves completely to the ideals of worship and defensive doctrines. They lead worship services, revivals and are even seen as powerful ministers on topics of faith and hope. Their voices carry the strength of light that is able to lift any depression and while in the Vatican they specialize in holy defenses.
The apostle Simon was called a zealot meaning one that has zeal, a calling and a weight placed upon their soul to serve the Lord with the utmost passion. Members of this section feel a strong pull on their life to serve the Lord through praise and devotion throughout the human realm.
Order of the Scholar - The letters of Paul, a section of the church dealing with knowledge and doctrine that produces many preachers and evangelists. Research and devotion permeate these individuals and those that are higher up in this section have much knowledge of holy artifacts and their uses. On the supernatural side of the house this division specializes in creation of the offensive aspects of the church that the common man can use including the invention of the 'anti-demon' tank. Alchemists have been known to have a presence in this division.
The apostle Paul was a man of knowledge, writing and doctrine that presented letters all across the world so that he might instruct various peoples and his teachings have survived throughout the ages. Paul was beheaded for his teachings in rome, for his knowledge that members of this division will cling to in order to serve their Lord.
Order of the Paladin - The feet of Christ, a standing army of the Holy Church that deals with not only care of the people at large but defense of the human realm as foot soldiers. While not explicity powerful on their own their strength is great in numbers and in their unshaking faith as they employ the teachings of their Lord in both the physical realm and the combative spiritual realm.
Those serving in this division live at the Vatican and study various forms of doctrine, defense and combat as well as virtures that enable them to transcend their human constraints.
Order of the Mission - The followers of Christ, the major population of the Vatican at large that go out into the world as preachers and clergymen. These people often have little to no knowledge of the dangers of the supernatural realm and are purely focused on the ministry and do not get mixed up in the wars of the supernatural realm. They are not granted access to the holy artifacts.
Order of the Gospel - The words of Christ, another secretive division of the Church that is often unseen. In ancient times it was composed of the monks that enscribed the holy words of God in latin and then eventually in all languages so that man might read the words of God for himself. The greatest of this order was a man known as Martin Luther that was able to lead the church to a great age as he eventually rose to be a powerful man of God. His interpretation of scripture and the push for it to be translated into many languages made the church into what it is today.
Those serving in this division commit themselves to not only a balance of Vatican practices but they forge themselves into outstanding individuals that stand ready to serve as the next church leader in the case of emergencies. There are only three members of this division and they stand ready as the royal guard of the leader of the Church.
